Welcome to Entertainers Life
Welcome to Entertainers Life!
Hello, fellow Entertainers! I’m Victoria Medina, and it’s a joy to meet you. If we’ve already crossed paths, it’s wonderful to see you again. Thank you for being here!
As I sat down to write this first post, the lyrics from Rent’s “Seasons of Love” came to mind:
Five hundred twenty-five thousand, six hundred minutes…
How do you measure a year in the life?
How precious our time on this planet is from our perspective, the perspective of the Entertainer. As a woman, man, or any gender, whether you’re a musician, actor, dancer, sculptor, painter, ah so many to mention you’ve chosen a path that you love!! You are passionate about your journey, the path you selected, and you adore creating and the potential of what lies ahead. You invested your most precious currency, TIME, on your passion, and because of your passion you may perhaps become immortal.
For you, the Entertainer, time isn’t just minutes ticking away; it’s your first true and honest partner. How you live your life and where you invest your time shapes how you create, grow, and connect with others. Your Art will transcend time and leave a legacy—as the composer of Rent, Jonathan Larson has done—you have the ability to touch lives long after your spirit flies into the cosmos.

Each element is designed with you in mind, helping you thrive both on and off the proverbial stage.
I truly believe in the power of sharing experiences to build a more connected and supportive community for all entertainers. Here, you can celebrate your wins, navigate challenges, and inspire. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or have decades of experience.

The Power of Community
When I envisioned launching Entertainers Life, I had wonderful ideas on a variety of subjects, mind-set, relationships, finances, all of which and more I will share with you in future posts, but this is life, and life throws curveballs, and I knew you would appreciate that this inaugural blog post is dedicated to the Los Angeles wildfires and the poignant power of community.
Community is where the magic happens. It’s the support network that encourages you to take risks, share boldly, and keep going when the road gets tough. As an Entertainer, you build connections that transcend time, culture, and geography. Every song sung, word written, and dance performed ripples outward, touching lives you may never meet.
Artists like Jonathan Larson, Frida Kahlo, Freddie Mercury, Maya Angelou, Donald Sutherland, Chita Rivera and Sidney Potier remind all of us that we’re part of something bigger than ourselves. Their work continues to inspire because it was born from a deep connection to the Entertainment community that supported them in fulfilling their dream of communicating to the world through their art. That same potential exists in each of us.
Where do you find your community? Whether it’s onstage, online, among fellow creatives, or here at Entertainers Life, remember this: you are never alone.

Rising Together in the Face of Challenges
The devastating wildfires in Los Angeles reminded me of the resilience and compassion within the Entertainment community. While words may never feel adequate in times of loss, your actions as an entertainer—creating, performing, and connecting—helps to heal and inspire in ways you can never imagine.
If you have personally been impacted by the wildfires our heart goes out to you and you more than anyone else can speak about the power of community and how it has helped you during this devastating time in your life.
Perhaps you personally know or have worked with someone impacted by the wildfires. Or you’ve appreciated the artistry and hard work of the many who have Entertained you living through this tragic time.
With every day that passes since the fires were contained, there are fewer and fewer articles written. It made me think how this is an even more important time to reach out and lend a hand—when the cameras have gone and the rebuilding begins.

If you're thinking "what can I do?"
The California Community Foundation continues to raise money to support over 200 non-profit organizations.
Charity Navigator is an organization that rates and evaluates more than 200,000 organizations to help you find the best charity you would like to support.
Charity Navigator created a Los Angeles Fire page and I quote from their page listing highly-rated 501(c)(3) organizations that are providing immediate and long-term assistance to those impacted by the wildfires across Los Angeles County, including the Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst fires.
The Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation whose mission is to provide vital equipment and funds critical programs to help the LAFD save lives and protect communities.
The California Fire Foundation writes on their page that they provide emotional and financial assistance to families of fallen firefighters, firefighters and the communities they protect. Formed in 1987 by California Professional Firefighters, the California Fire Foundation’s mandate includes an array of survivor assistance projects and community initiatives.
Best Friends Animal Society is dedicated to providing emergency response services to support local animal welfare organizations while ensuring the safety of pets and staff. You can read more on their updated blog post.

You can also create a fund.

Remember even the smallest gestures can create ripples of hope.

Honoring those impacted by the Wildfires
You can also create something all your own that simply helps your neighbors or your own community.
Perhaps the ripple effect of love pouring into the Los Angeles community you can pour into your own area of the world.
Your community, your world needs your light. It needs your art, your stories, and your ability to bring people together. Whether you’re entertaining in a packed theater or connecting with one person through your work or reaching out and helping those suffering in a devastating crisis, you make a difference.
Share your gifts, uplift your community, and create with all the passion and resilience within you. The journey of an entertainer isn’t easy, but it’s deeply meaningful. And you don’t have to walk it alone.
